Health Care Rationing for Seniors Another Problem in New Obama Plan

Washington, DC – The new health care plan President Barack Obama released today contains massive abortion funding, but a top pro-life attorney who monitors bioethics issues says it presents other concerns. The changes Obama proposes to the Senate health care bill also promote rationing.

I’ve been following this area with interest for quite a while. There are a couple points I wanted to make.

First, I totally disagree with any abortion funding. To me, it’s so sad that this area of medicine (NOT) would be funded while the medical needs of special ed children go very largely unfunded.

This is my understanding of Medicare Advantage plans. In a nutshell, these were created as HMOs for seniors. Medicare pays private insurance companies to insure seniors that chose to enroll in them. Seniors pay more into them because it avoids them from having to carry Medicare supplement insurance.

In the private sector, there are few companies offering their employees HMOs. They were initially seen as cost-effective, but the system was abused when people realized that it was cheaper to go to the doctor to get a prescription cold medication than it was buying it over the counter. Now, companies are trying to reign in the attitude that insurance that covers everything is cost prohibitive.

Trust me, my parents are both seniors. This issue concerns me. However, there are a couple things that worry me. 1) Medicare reimbursements are, at least in the Northeast, are pretty good. They are far better than the insurance we carry. 2) Everyone is going to have to be an informed consumer when seeking medical care. The system will go bankrupt if stops aren’t put in place (which people see as rationing).

The 3 payer system is the real issue. I can elaborate on that if need be.

i simply see Obama Health Care system, as broken, out of money, another fed. government cover-up.example, Go to an American Indian Reservation, the will tell you Dont get sick after the 6th of the month , there is no money. . We are broke, our gov. is broke, we are borrowing from China to pay whom, our own Social Security. I think the past presidents and current Presidents have not kept their hands out of SS and it it broken, out of money. you all will see when the Fed . Gov takes over the Health Care, they will be demanding just like China ,one child,old people No medicine, The abortion issue,is Obama campain,he with the Kennedys have used these fogs to keep us all from seeing the real issues here, We are no longer in charge. We are no longer a Christian Nation. We need him aborted from out Country.
So all this BS everyone talkes about, Fed Gov this and Obama that , in his own words , we are no longer a christian nation. He advocates,uthenasia,abortion. He does not beleive in God,He is Muslim,or the Pledge of allegiance. Well folks, in my opinion, when Obama, said “we need to share the wealth” that was an eye opener for me, WHO’s WEALTH, our wealth,meaning SS. We need to find a way to get rid of Obama and the whole congress.
