God bless you and your family, FatBoy! It truly is through our trials that we learn dependence upon God for everything. I’m in my 7th year of chronic health issues. While some days are extremely hard, and I still pray for healing, I always pray for God’s will to be done. And I pray that if I need these trials to stay close to God, that I would rather have them than be healed and fall away from Him.

Your son is God’s blessing on your family.

Have you ever heard of the Catholic musician Michael John Poirier? He writes beautiful music and his website is www.holyfamilynow.com

One of his songs, I believe called “Hey, God” says:

*Dear child of mine
I’ve been here the whole time
Know that I’ll never forsake you

These trials you endure
Are working a cure in your soul
If you will let them

Carry the cross
Love puts on your shoulder
And lay the rest aside

For My yoke is easy
My burden is light
And My ways are not like yours.*

Romans 8

18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. 20For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21that* the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

All of creation including our bodies are subject to decay, aging. Their bodies will also age or decay. If their name it, claim it theology were true like those who lived about a thousand years they would cease aging. The fact, that they die, die of illness, age, wear glasses, have their hair falling out, wrinkled skin are all proofs against the name it, claim it theology.

Basically, their theology is self centered, it has no serious theology related to suffering in Christ. Jesus taught that those who follow him will suffer.

Simply challenge them not to age, to confess that they will have a sixteen year olds’ body for their whole life on earth.

that is so beautiful, I’m going to share it with my brother and his wife, they are going through some really hard times health wise and feel so alone, thanks for sharing that and the website, I’m going to check it out.
