Heard this on Catholic answers. Plagues and Christians treatment of death

I have heard this mentioned a few times where plagues of North Africa(?) showed the difference between Christians and Pagans where the Christians showed joy in death and treated the dead with respect while the pagans feared their dead and their own deaths. This caused the pagans to question their chosen religion and converted many to Christianity. Anyone have a source for this claim?
 
I believe it may be from Rodney Stark “Epidemics, Networks, and the Rise of Christianity”.
