Heaven and Hell and The Bell Curve

Hypothesis: The hierarchy of heaven and hell is shaped like a bell curve. Or put differently or viewed differently a double sided pyramid (two pyramids attached at the base). A pyramid which mirrors the hierarchy of the faithful and unfaithful on earth. A vertical bell curve if you wish.

At the top of the pyramid is the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Queen of Heaven and earth. The Blessed Virgin Mary is the greatest of God’s creation. So she is like an angel on the top of a Christmas tree. Preceding downward are the various saints.

Now on earth we have at the top of the pyramid or vertical bell curve those who love God for non-mercenary reasons. From King Salomon’s kiss on the lips. Descending downward are those with mixed motives. Who love God with the kiss on the hand. Who love God and for fear of hell. At the bottom are those who don’t love God and are just afraid of hell.

Crossing over to the inferno the nether world. We have those who rejected our Lord, and increasing mortal sins until we reach Satan at the bottom end of the double sided pyramid or vertical bell curve.

My questions:

1. Why does it seem like there is a pyramid instead of a cube?
2. You’ve heard of the golden ratio. Astronomy. i.e. People looking for signs from God in the universe like the Magi did (this turns out to be the case according to an EWTN program I saw.) So what about the bell curve? In terms of faith, intellect, artistic prowess etc. The parable of the talents: our Lord gives some 10 some only 1…
3. God gives everyone graces but we choose not to make use of them hence the shape of the bell curve?

The Parable of the Talents

14 “For it will be as when a man going on a journey called his servants and entrusted to them his property; 15 to one he gave five talents,** to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. There is a bipyramid, or octahedron, rather than a cube because as one ascends, the saints get less numerous; likewise as one goes down, the more heinous sinners are less numerous.

Out of curiosity, why is Mary so exalted in your scheme? Do you have any scriptural or otherwise canonical references that would suggest that?

But why not a cube? Why do we not take advantage of the graces we are given?

I don’t know much about the hierarchy of Heaven but I recall when we switched in grade school to being “graded on the curve”. It became easier to get an A. It is like wanting to be with slow fat people when hiking in bear country. You don’t have to run fast. You just have to be a bit faster than the other people. In a group of mostly murderers, the rapist looks like a saint by comparison…or does he?

How does one earn merit?

It occurred to me this morning that Our Lord said those who sacrifice worldly riches would receive a hundred fold. And our Lord responded to St. Peter “then feed my lambs.” If you love our Lord you will feed His lambs. Does this apply just to St. Peter?
