It also says in Revelation that after the end of the world, and Final Judgement after the End Times, all the souls in Heaven will be given resurrected bodies, but glorious like Our Lord’s, no more old age, we will all be young forever, and that the New Jerusalem will come down from Heaven, and God will make ALL of Creation new. No more winter, no more leaves falling off trees, the whole of the earth will be made glorious, there will be no more sea it says (because the population of Heaven will need more land to live on earth). There will be beautiful trees. We will need no churches because God will live will live with us and we will be able to adore Him directly. The light of God will fill up the whole world and there will be no more night because of the light of God.
Jesus did say Himself, ‘There are many rooms in my Father’s house, if it was not so I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you.’ Some have interpreted it as meaning there are many mansions in Heaven. And there are near death experiences that Pope Gregory the Great recorded back in the 3rd century AD where a man who died but was ‘sent back’ said he saw houses being built in Heaven. And I heard a talk in church once where the speaker said we all get a mansion in Heaven. Jesus is still preparing a place for us right now and will be until our last breaths because each of our deeds earn us more or less glorious rewards in Heaven. In Revelation Jesus says, ‘Behold I am coming soon! I come to reward each according to what he has done.’
Each of our rewards will be different because we each earned particular rewards from our earthly lives. So, some of us may earn to be as close to God in the highest point of Heaven.
I read a book about Maria Simma (a chosen soul who had a charism to help the souls in purgatory). She said heaven is divided into 7 parts. The highest part is where God lives and is the most beautiful joyful glorious part of Heaven with the best rewards. The lowest level is still brilliant but not as good as the highest part of Heaven. The higher in Heaven you reach the higher your joy, peace, rewards. St Paul even wrote in the bible that heaven is divided into parts, ‘I know a man, who whether in soul or body I do not know, was taken up into the Third of Heaven, and heard and saw things unspeakable…’ Heaven is divided into realms closer to God -I’d love to reach the highest realm, because whatever realm we reach will be our reward for all eternity , it is on earth that we earn an eternal reward unique to our own life
Peter was told by Jesus, ‘I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven’. In Medjugorje two of the visionaries were taken into heaven in the body for 20mins, they saw St Peter standing at the doors to admit people entry. They saw young beautiful people, everyone was aged between 18 -22 years of age, no glasses or ailments from earth. The meadows and trees were incredibly beautiful. Everyone was dressed in robes from the time of Jesus. They said the peace and joy was out of this world, it was something you could never experience on the earth. There were angels flying. The light of God filled everything. St Faustina was told by Jesus, ‘You will be the secretary to My Divine Mercy in this life and the next.’ So it appears we each get a mission in Heaven. St Peter is the gatekeeper. St Faustina is Our Lord’s secretary to His Divine Mercy.
I read some Catholic Near death experiences, they all said once outside the body -they knew everything, -so we will have all knowledge and talents in Heaven. As Jesus said in the bible to those who asked about husbands and wives in Heaven, ‘You will be like the angels.’
Sounds awesome! Can’t wait.
Read the book of revelation, it describes the inside of Heaven!
Streets paved with gold, walls like crystal glass covered with jewels, no more night because the Light of God fills the whole of Heaven, no more pain/ tears/ sickness or old age. Everyone will be like Jesus in the Transfiguration or resurrection, young and in their prime. We will be given a new body. We will be given new names. the highest point of Heaven is the Throne Room of God, angels, everyone dressed in robes, the martyrs wearing white robes, a heavenly banquet will be prepared , no more temptations, unbelievable music to God,
Some of the saints had visions of heaven if you google it:
St. John Bosco, the visionaries of Medjugorje, blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich,
