I have this hope that heaven includes everyone in a big garden, sitting together finding out how God worked all of these hidden miracles and why history unfolded as it did. Maybe with some popcorn and a movie screen to watch the best story ever told. ( kidding.)
Do you think He will let us ( if we are graced to get there) in on all of it?
I have so many questions. I want to know real stories all about how guardian angels work behind the scenes in hospitals , and how God uses all the redemptive suffering of some people to bless other people. ( like what did he do with all the redemptive suffering of the Holocaust? )
Why do certain people carry heavier burdens than others?
And I hope we get to see how those who suffer more here are lifted up and become the happiest/holiest/most honored later.
And I want to watch the reactions of people who didn’t get it or didn’t believe or doubted ( including myself in this, “ I believe, help my unbelief” ) as they realize how perfect and loving and all-knowing God is. Can you imagine the way our jaws will all drop?
But I don’t want to just see it for my life I want to see it for everyone. Kind of like how it ever gets old to hear converts stories, or miracle stories.
Bishop Barron says our lives are like one page taken out of a HUGE novel like Lord of the rings, and so maybe that one page doesn’t make sense by itself. I hope God will let us eventually read every page so we understand the depth of his masterful writing of the greatest story ever told. I mean I want to know all the details of “ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Like what do great atheists think now? Do they finally get it?
What have the great saints been doing up there-how many wars have they prevented with their prayers?
How many lives saved and miracles have happened because of prayers? ( even if people now often say “ I don’t want your thoughts and prayers” On social media.
