(((Thistle)))- you can look for yourself-just like anyone else- and as I said before… the choice is yours whether you believe or not-that’s between you and God-…and you my friend are one hamburger short of a Happy Meal…God Bless
You are digressing. You said you had SOLID PROOF. Well you would be unique and the first visionary in history to have solid proof. Shouldn’t that make it very simple and quick for the Church to publicly declare your vision is genuine. I’ve never heard of you or your alleged vision or that the CDF is even investigating your claim.
You said the Church has been involved since the beginning. When was that and who from the Church is looking into it??

Thistle and JCnMe: STOP with the nonscence, you both sound ucharitable. Let’s keep this thread on topic, shall we? And none of that “I got the last word in haha!” stuff, either. Let’s just keep the topic on heaven.

As I said, visions are not the product of man but the grace of God, as all is grace. Many saints have been given the grace of seeing heaven, but every vision is not an actual picture of heaven but rather a symbolic picture of heaven. This may seem disappointing, but you gotta remember, no eye has seen nor ear heard nor mouth proclaimed what awaits us in the world to come!

Two examples of visions of heaven include (both from the Scriptures):

The Prophet Ezekiel seeing smoke and thunder and lightning and the cherub as a wheel within a wheel, upon which stands the throne of God

The Apostle John seeing a giant white throne with smoke and thunder and lightning, and the angels and saints before the Almighty in constant prayer and praise

A voice of reason! You are right. Its time to bow out.

Back to the oigninal post, I have not had a vision of Heaven myself but I others have including Saints.

I am reading the writings of a present-day mystic, “Anne, a Lay Apostle” and Anne’s book Mist of Mercy has her visions of Purgatory and her book Climbing the Mountain includes her visions of Heaven! They have been such an inspiration to me. Also I read these to a couple of ladies at a nursing home and they are loving these words!

Her apostalate website is www.directionforourtimes.com . Although she does not have the above books available online, you can read her read the volumes and booklets free online there. One of my favorites is from the Volume titled, “God the Father Speaks to His Children” which begins with God speaking to Anne and then He asks Anne to describe His voice so people can know what He sounds like! I have read and reread that beautiful passage.

The messages say that these massages are some of the special Graces poured out because our times are so difficult spiritually.

I belong to a Lay Aostalate group for this at my neighboring parish that meets monthly for Adoration, prayer, and to read the Monthly Message (also available online).

The reason the Lay Apostalate can be a part of Parish life and put in the Bulletin is because all her work is approved by her local Bishop and submitted to the Vatican, and also her Bishop has assigned a full-time Priest to oversee the Apostolate. So the Bishop finds nothing in conflict with any of the teachings of the Church. (There can be no imprmitaur yet as the messages are ongoing). So like any private revelation there is no obligation to believe, but if you do, your faith is not being confused by untruths.

P.S. I found an excerpt from the website with an excerpt about Heaven: directionforourtimes.com/Excerpts1.html

Here are excert from the book with Purgatory visions: directionforourtimes.com/ExcerptsMist.html

Wow. A real visionary who thinks he knows me… I even asked you earlier to PM me to tell me what is going on but you haven’t taken that up yet… SOLID PROOF. … it should be easy and quick for the Church to publicly pronounce you are the real deal…You are obviously one can short of a six-pack.
Thistle, why is this such a problem for you? You are getting all steamed up and insulting. What for? Who is she harming? She sees things that you don’t see that she thinks are real visions. Why can’t you just leave her be? This is hardly worth throwing your Christian charity out the door for. I just don’t understand what you are fighting against. Our Lord and Our Church have not been insulted here.

You are entittled to your opinion that she is seeing something where there is nothing, or that her imagination is overactive. But there is not excuse for getting insulting.

I also wanted to add a story from my own life.

A close friend who is a mother went to a small park in my city near her house for her small children to play. She sat next to another mother. She was very ordinary looking and there was nothing about her looks or way that would draw attention to her in any way. (Unlike my friend who is very pretty). They talked in an ordinary way, commenting on the day, their children, etc. My friend is a very engaging listener, and the conversation took a turn that my friend encouraged with her questions and listening. (I am remembering the best I can. I sometimes ask my friend about the conversation - my friend has a very good memory and she remembers it all).

This woman speaks to Jesus and angels constantly, and goes on “trips” to Heaven regularly! It has been this way her whole life, as long as she can remember. Until she was older - high school or beyond - she thought that everyone else experienced this too. She didn’t know she was different. Although much of school was unhappy for her, as she did not fit in (and I can imagine her getting “lost” in some of the inner city schools here).

She came from a very abusive home, and one of the earliest things she remembered was her parents having a horrible loud fight - yelling, throwing, hitting - and she was in her room upstairs and her angel came and played a board game with her the whole time. Her angel would do things with her all the time.

This all rang true to me because I remember reading about an abused child who was tied like a dog in the back yard and neglected. The child experienced heavenly comfort of angels and mystical transportations.

Jesus she described as beautiful, all love, dressed in white, light, but a real person and loving friend and Lord. She would go to Heaven a lot when growing up and it was like “vacations” to her, playing with the animals, riding them is one of the things she did - I think I remember giraffes and lions. What they did there was all joy and all beauty and all love. Then angels played with the children - there were other children there. She now goes back now sometimes for “vacation-trips” with her young children (or was it young grandchild or niece/nephew - I don’t remember). Jesus lets her share this experience with her children because they are young.

She married a man who turned out to be highly abusive. It got worse and worse, to the point of being absolutely unbearable. Then one day while she was in great agony over it, a clear thought came into her mind. It was instruction that if she would just “go into” this one certain section of her husband’s mind/brain (I can only guess this is a spiritual thing of the will - clearly it is the black arts) and “touch” this place, he (her abusive husband) would immediately go crazy/mental for the rest of his life and they would put him away and he would never bother her again. She was feeling so oppressed and so afraid that she was relieved for a solution and entertained this thought for just a moment. As soon as she did, Jesus came and He was very very angry with her. He took her to a cliff, over the edge of a cliff where there was very little to hang onto, and it was pouring rain, windy, freezing cold and she had thin clothes, no blanket, and left her there. For a long time, like three days, I think, and she knew she was being punished. Jesus was angry with her because The Father was angry with her because she had been given so much and she should know better than to allow that evil thought/idea to influence her - (something like that!). Then it was over and Jesus came an comforted and warned her never to do that again.

There were more things that my friend told me about her conversation but those are the parts I remembered the most. I had thought about meeting the woman because my friend and she exchanged phone numbers. My first reaction to this story was that the woman ought to be in the news, or write a book! And at first I wanted to meet her, too. But I don’t know why that waned, even though we could contact her. I think both my friend and I have a lot of faith and felt that hearing this woman’s testimony was rare blessing enough and we have not felt compelled to "get’ anything more from her nor do we know what we can offer her. We are just thankful to know of this.

So, based on this, I believe there are probably lots of people on earth who see Heaven, regularly, who will never write a book. They are humble people who go unnoticed by the rest of the world. God graces people in the ways they need grace. I did not grow up in severe abuse, so I do not feel Jesus gave her an unfairly special Grace, because I can see how her unfairly terrible life situation merited special help and graces that the rest of us don’t need. It also builds my faith to know of these things - that if unbearable circumstances were to happen in my life, heavenly help would be there for me, too.

Thank you (((Nickkname)))- …It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on these boards-but I wasn’t surprised by the attack- it is a shame that these boards that could be and should be used to promote and feel the love of God for those who are finding their faith and direction-always seem to deteriorate to such low level acts of manipulation, accusation, and judgment- in most cases irrationally so…it’s quite clear the spiritual warfare that goes on behind the scenes…

(((((Eliza10))))))…thank you for sharing that beautiful story- It will bless everyone that reads it or hears it…like ripples in the water…(((Hugs))) God Bless

In answer to the original question I wish I could say yes. But I cannot. I do keep thinking of what is quoted in St. Paul’s Epistle of 1st Corinthians , “Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has it so much as dawned on the mind of man what God has in store for those who love him”.
Prayers & blessings
