Good question! I suppose the answer depends on who is the you.

It doesn’t support OSAS because, while it is true that God will never leave or forsake us, our free will that he has given us to either love him freely or reject him, does allow us to forsake him.

Even aside from that, the Bible does not contain only this one verse.There are too many other Scriptures that tell us our salvation is conditional on what we do, or what we don’t do.

Here are just a few. Keep in mind the New Testament is directed at believers, i.e. those who are already, presumably, saved:

Colossians 1:21-23
And you, who once were estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable before him, provided that you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which has been preached to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became aminister.

Hebrews 10:35-39
Therefore, do not throw away your confidence; it will have great recompense. You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised. “For, after just a brief moment, he who is to come shall come; he shall not delay. But my just one shall live by faith, and if he draws back I take no pleasure in him.” We are not among those who draw back and perish, but among those who have faith and will possess life.

Romans 2:6-11
God who will repay everyone according to his works: eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in good works, but wrath and fury to those who selfishly disobey the truth and obey wickedness. Yes, affliction and distress will come upon every human being who does evil, Jew first and then Greek. But there will be glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, Jew first and then Greek. There is no partiality with God.

I guess you must look at the full verse.
First Paul tells the hebrews that they must DO something, not just once, but continuously. “Keep yourselves free from the Love of money…” The mere fact that he tells us that we must “keep ourselves free…” means that it is possible that we NOT “keep ourselves free…”. And if we do NOT “keep ourselves free…” do we remain saved??
Such things are fatal to any useful definition or application of a OSAS theology.

Seconly one must look at the above and ask, if one is baptized and then leaves the church, who does the leaving? Who does the foresaking? Is it God who forsakes us or is it we who foresake God?
