Hello, my name is Sally, i’m sorry if my english is not always great. I’m from Denmark, but i think i love Croatia more, since it’s a catholic country with a high church attendance compared to other catholic countries in europe. And the first catholic priest i ever spoke to (my parish priest) is from Croatia.
Denmark is not very religious at all, and there are very few catholics. I was baptised in the lutheran church, and i didn’t care at all about catholicism until maybe a few years ago. It’s no less than a miracle that i even decided to convert. I’m still very younh, and not “officially” a catholic yet, even though my profile says som i hope that’s not a problem. I was a protestant christian before, but only in catholic churches have i felt that christ was really present. I can’t wait to be able to recieve the eucharist.
Since there are so few catholics in Denmark, i am lonely almost all the time. Praying has even become very dry since i first decided to convert, but it still persist in prayer, since i know that God will never abandon me.
But i hope that this forum will make me less lonely, since i now have a suitable place to share my thoughts, questions and prayer requests. Thanks 🙂

Hej Sally!

And that is the extent of my Danish. 😅 I tried to learn a little once. Welcome!

Welcome to CAF. I think you’ll find quite a few Catholics here that interact with each other because they don’t have Catholic friends in real life. This is a great place to ask questions and just mingle with other Catholics and some non Catholics, too.

Some threads can have heated discussions so you may want to avoid certain ares…like the World News forum…but overall, it’s a fun place to interact. Welcome! ❤️

Glad to hear that, Croat here! 👋 😁

Yes, persevere to the end. As St Teresa of Avila said: prayer is the greatest of all gifts, the vehicle through which God grants us favours, the beginning of all virtue.
And may St Canute help the Danish people in this time of unbelief!
