I need some help. There are all kinds of Protestant books that give lots of good advice on dating. However, I sense that some of the things in there don’t jive with Catholicism. I’ve read some Jason Everet but surely there is more. I’m thinking about doing an independent study on the topic and would love to have some ideas and or resources to go to. Any suggestions?

Try Boundaries in Dating by Dr. Townsend and Dr. Cloud. It’s not a Catholic book, but it’s very good. It has sound Christian principles, quotes the Bible a lot, and is sound in terms of psychology as well.

Visit www.dads.org, books there include The ABCs of choosing a good wife/husband & Life Work-- Finding your purpose in life, Date or Soul Mate, and Coursthip & Marriage, how to prepare for Lifelong Love.

I’d also recommend Greg Popcak’s For Better, Forever.

Mary Beth Bonacci’s Real Love is available on www.reallove.net.
