I also believe that the Church should help “more” pregnant women and girls, without a doubt.
But the idea that pro-life people are less likely to help is a dangerous one. Many people just assume that “you care about the fetus, but what about the woman?” In my experience with pro-life movement, that’s not at all true!
However, we can always do more!
I don’t want to assume that you think that way, but I wanted to urge caution. I totally bought that point-of-view before I became more involved.
Anyway, back to the thread: I believe plenty of controvertial things too (not contrary to Church teaching), but I don’t plan to introduce them into the class, so it shouldn’t matter. How would the sixth-graders react if I started harping on schools that don’t use the Mandatum!?
