I am just returning to the church, after I had lost my way for quite awhile and I was looking for a Bible that I can read and understand. I really want to re-establish my faith, and I know that reading the Bible will help me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
There will be many suggestions given to you, so I would like to make a simple one… try not to end up like me with over 10 different copies! Pick one you will read and read it.
There is some thread around here where people list which copies they have of the bible. Some of us own way too many, if that is possible. Oh, here is the thread.
My basic suggestion is a study bible. That is, one that has headings in it to help keep you focused. My first bible as a child was one long string all run together with nothing to break it into a manageable chunk, except the words of Christ being printed in red. Guess which part I read.
