Trying to figure out more things with my mother and my family…I’m not old enough to be making these sorts of decisions on my own. No way, I don’t have a clue what I’m doing. I can barely

I think I need an adult. An actual adult, not a 20-something. Grad school and student parishes seem to be awfully short on those. Especially adult women. Where does one find those, anyways?

Aren’t there a number of middle aged adult female volunteers, even around college chaplaincies?

Well I’d Class myself as an Adult, I’m 60 , golly that sounds old !
 
What classifies someone as a “real” adult?

Do you realize that many 20-somethings are married, own homes, work in a full time in their desired field, and have families of their own?

For this context, it means “old enough to be my mother.” 😃 And I’m 26.

In certain respects, yes.
 
Sorry for being vague. But seriously - how does one go about meeting people that you could be friends with, but that aren’t in your own age group? Especially in academic settings, it seems that most things top out in the early 30’s, you don’t have many people who are older that you could just get to know.
 
Well at a random guess I’d imagine your 20 or under, people in there 50’s. 60’s
Are not going to seek you out to become your friend as a 20 something might,
Because generally they wouldn’t be interested in the younger person as a close friend,
if you want advise from them about an issue,they would most likely help

I feel like the pic you posted should be the motto of being my age. Just hitting the point where I’m realizing I’m technically an adult, I have no idea what I’m doing, and my family’s too messed up to rely on.
