Hello, I wish someone could answer me a question about something that has plagued me for months. You know when I was a child I was unfortunate to have desecrated the Eucharist, I am deeply sorry for that, and I knew that it caused excommunication. However, some priests have said that excommunication only occurs for people over 16, and also people who knew that that act was a sin. But when I read the Code of Canon Law, in Canon 1324, it said that the author of the sin of excommunication is not exempt from the penalty, Now I am confused, please tell me, I do not want to commit a sacrilegious confession, am I excommunicated? Do I need to confess? Thanks to anyone who helps me.

Explain this issue to your Parish Priest and do what he tells you.

Several someones have ALREADY answered your question. You seem to want to keep asking until you find someone who says otherwise.

Please stop.

Your priest is correct:

Can. 1323 The following are not subject to a penalty when they have violated a law or precept:

1/ a person who has not yet completed the sixteenth year of age;
