Hello, I wish someone could answer me a question about something that has plagued me for months. You know when I was a child I was unfortunate to have desecrated the Eucharist, I am deeply sorry for that, and I knew that it caused excommunication. However, some priests have said that excommunication only occurs for people over 16, and also people who knew that that act was a sin. But when I read the Code of Canon Law, in Canon 1324, it said that the author of the sin of excommunication is not exempt from the penalty, Now I am confused, please tell me, I do not want to commit a sacrilegious confession, am I excommunicated? Do I need to confess? Thanks to anyone who helps me.
