Hi, I’m looking to find the name of a movie I remember watching years ago on Netflix. It was a pro-life (anti abortion movie) about a mans life that was all hypothetical-basically the movie introduces you into the life of a man who goes on to find the cure for cancer…but the climax of the movie is when it’s revealed that he was never born because he was aborted. The story plot is involved with his estranged dad who he tries to get to know in his later older life who is a rich man living wonderfully with expensive race horses but it’s only when his dad develops cancer that his son tries even more to find the cure. It’s such an amazing movie! I am desperate at this point by trying to post here hoping someone else remembers the name of this movie so I can buy it or find it online. I can’t believe how disgusting Google is —just try for yourself searching for a “anti-abortion/pro-life movie” all I would get is results with postings of women saying things like “ I’m so glad I had an abortion” or they try to change my search criteria into something they want me to search for instead —omg it’s so disgusting the level of bias online. I hope someone can help me find this movie again! Thank you!!! :pray:t2::pray:t2::pray:t2:

I don’t think Google is working against you here. It apparently was or is still on Netflix. It is a copyrighted piece of material and there’s no way Netflix is going to show it without a subscription. If Google is “preventing you” from finding it, maybe just maybe they are protecting a copyrighted piece of material from being viewed illegally?

At least for me, it isn’t. They’re all relative to movie discussions, albeit with a very pro-choice stance.

I searched for “pro-life movie”, and at least the first two results were from pro-life sources. One was Students for Life and another March for Life. The overall results were mixed, but I think your use of “anti-abortion” is skewing results, since that is frequently used by those opposed to the pro-life side trying to give it a more negative connotation than “pro-life” has.

Ultimately, though, I doubt Google removed the movie from its search results. Chances are, it was never there to begin with (unlikely), was improperly searched for (like above), or has been buried amidst numerous other discussions over the years about similar movies and topics (very likely).

Since Mitosis seems to be the (short) film, it actually did get hit with copyright claims on YouTube. As far as I can tell, the guy who made it only has one screenplay under his name, but I’m not sure how it is at worth a copyright claim over. Either way, it is back up on YouTube.

No it’s not. 🙁 but thank you so much for sharing -I appreciate you taking the time to try to help!!!:pray:t2:😊

I am not that “computer smart” so maybe it’s my settings or search perimeters or whatever that is effecting my google search results. All I know is when I search for something like this movie usually you can find a way to link to it-I think it’s veyy weird that I can’t find it. And my search results were more negative than yours. Lucky you

He is claiming he cannot even find the name of the movie, not simply a copy he can watch online.

I doubt google has removed this movie. Google is just a way to search for something. It’s probably not identified as a pro-life movie. Your search perimeters are off.

You can try searching for it on IMDb.com.

It’s a database of all films and tv programs. If you can remember an actor from the film that might be easier to search for.

I’m happy to help. 😃

I’m surprised that there are two films that involve a man discovering a cure for cancer and then it’s revealed at the end of the film that he was a victim of abortion. Guess that’s a more common story line than I realized.

I second this recommendation!

I went to the IMDb website and used their search function. Make sure you change the parameters on the search bar to “keywords” instead of title. Since I have no idea what this movie is, I couldn’t search through the results for your movie.

But hopefully you’ll be able to find it! 👍

It’s actually a common scenario brought up in pro-life/pro-choice debates, so it doesn’t surprise me that multiple people have turned it into art.

Of all the anti-abortion arguments I have always found this the least impressive. The non-life of a potential cancer-curer happens every time a woman does not get pregnant. I know that Catholics see a difference here, in that they count ‘potential’ from the point of existence of a fertilised ovum. But ‘potential humans’ who never reach that stage must number in the quazillions. If the argument had force all women would all have to have sex during all fertile periods (and probably several times at that) in order that all potential cancer-curers could be conceived. And then of course there is the argument that by having the abortion a person who developed a massively efficient way of carrying out abortions was never born…
