Hello all,
Sorry it has been such a long time since I have logged in. I guess I have not been a very good prayer warrior, but I have prayed for all of you on this board in my daily prayers.
As many of you know my wife and I have been going through two major crisis in our life over the past few months. First and foremost, after trying to get pregnant for 2.5 years, we finally succeeded, but ended up losing the pregnancy, because it was ectopic. Not only did we lose the baby, but I almost lost my wife. The tube ruptured and the on call doctor never came in to see her. He instructed the nurse to give her a shot of demeral and that her regular doctor would follow up with her in the am. At 4am when I was called and informed I rushed to the hospital and she was very sick. She had lost an extreme amount of blood and it was pooling in her belly. She was as white as a ghost and was clammy. She had lost so much blood that when the nurse came to draw bloodwork, she couldn’t get any blood (my wife usually has very good veins). We are not sure why the on call doctor never came in. The reason she had been admitted was so that if she needed to be taken to surgery they could do it very quickly. Shortly after I got there the nurse at the risk of her job went over the on call doctor’s head and called my wife’s regular doctor who immediately came in even though he was not on call and took her to surgery. Because she had lost so much blood internally they were not able to do the procedure laproscopically. Her hemoglobin was only 7 and the doctor said had she laid there much longer she would have died. The doctor had to give her two units of a blood transfusion. She has been unable to work and has very limited mobility. She is just starting to get back to her normal self but will be out of work for an additional 3 weeks.
As for the other crisis, as many of you know I originally posted about “selling my house.” We finally got an offer after 2 years on the market and nothing has went smoothly. The young woman buying it is a single mother and the mortgage/underwriters are making her jump through hoops. Yesterday my wife and I drove 2 hours to close (keep in mind my wife just had surgery) and the underwriters at the last minute changed their mind and wanted addition information. Not only was it a bad day for us, but the young woman buying our house who is a single mother has to be out of her apartment this weekend. It is a huge mess.
As a result of both of these incidents, I am truly struggling in my faith. I know that God has a reason for everything, but right now that is not much comfort. Please pray for me. I know it is not all about what God can do for me and normally I pray that God’s will be done and live that in my life, but I am really struggling. These two things were huge blows to an already struggling faith. Please pray for my wife and I over the loss of our child, for my wife’s recovery, for the young single mother who wants to buy my house and has to be out of her apartment this weekend, and that we actually get to sell our house to her.
Thanks for all your prayers and support.
