Hello all,

Sorry it has been such a long time since I have logged in. I guess I have not been a very good prayer warrior, but I have prayed for all of you on this board in my daily prayers.

As many of you know my wife and I have been going through two major crisis in our life over the past few months. First and foremost, after trying to get pregnant for 2.5 years, we finally succeeded, but ended up losing the pregnancy, because it was ectopic. Not only did we lose the baby, but I almost lost my wife. The tube ruptured and the on call doctor never came in to see her. He instructed the nurse to give her a shot of demeral and that her regular doctor would follow up with her in the am. At 4am when I was called and informed I rushed to the hospital and she was very sick. She had lost an extreme amount of blood and it was pooling in her belly. She was as white as a ghost and was clammy. She had lost so much blood that when the nurse came to draw bloodwork, she couldn’t get any blood (my wife usually has very good veins). We are not sure why the on call doctor never came in. The reason she had been admitted was so that if she needed to be taken to surgery they could do it very quickly. Shortly after I got there the nurse at the risk of her job went over the on call doctor’s head and called my wife’s regular doctor who immediately came in even though he was not on call and took her to surgery. Because she had lost so much blood internally they were not able to do the procedure laproscopically. Her hemoglobin was only 7 and the doctor said had she laid there much longer she would have died. The doctor had to give her two units of a blood transfusion. She has been unable to work and has very limited mobility. She is just starting to get back to her normal self but will be out of work for an additional 3 weeks.

As for the other crisis, as many of you know I originally posted about “selling my house.” We finally got an offer after 2 years on the market and nothing has went smoothly. The young woman buying it is a single mother and the mortgage/underwriters are making her jump through hoops. Yesterday my wife and I drove 2 hours to close (keep in mind my wife just had surgery) and the underwriters at the last minute changed their mind and wanted addition information. Not only was it a bad day for us, but the young woman buying our house who is a single mother has to be out of her apartment this weekend. It is a huge mess.

As a result of both of these incidents, I am truly struggling in my faith. I know that God has a reason for everything, but right now that is not much comfort. Please pray for me. I know it is not all about what God can do for me and normally I pray that God’s will be done and live that in my life, but I am really struggling. These two things were huge blows to an already struggling faith. Please pray for my wife and I over the loss of our child, for my wife’s recovery, for the young single mother who wants to buy my house and has to be out of her apartment this weekend, and that we actually get to sell our house to her.

Thanks for all your prayers and support.

O Lord, I lift up these two people to Your loving care. Please, Lord, bless them and strengthen their faith. Show them the great trials that so many saints before us have suffered. O Lord, You are great indeed, and your folly is greater than our wisdom. Help us all to follow Your will, even in times of trial. In Jesus name we pray.

O God, please bless Steve and his wife and the woman who wants to buy their house. Grant them all the peace of knowing that even during trials, you are always there, and grant them the strength to use these trials as opportunities to grow in faith rather than to lose their faith. Let Your will be done. THANK YOU that his wife is on the road to recovery. Amen.

A terribly difficult time for you…will keep you in daily prayer that your Faith will remain strong even in the face of difficulty, great difficulty…

Praying for you and your wife, your unborn child, the woman who wants to buy your house and that through God’s Will, all will have a happy outcome,

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Steven, praying for and your wife, that GOD’S will be done.May the HOLY SPIRIT guide you both through this difficult time.

I have placed your petitions within my heart and will carry them with me to daily Mass and I will remember your petitions in my daily prayers.

Hi Steve,
I will pray for you and your wife.
God Bless You Both.

Praying for both of you.

Many people get divorced after the loss of a child. You and your wife are under a great deal of stress. I will pray you get some help in this difficult time.

Selling a house was one of the stress times in my marriage too. To be honest, most house deals have some terrible stories to go along with them. I will pray.

Steve-

My daughter sent me an email yesterday that you need to hear about. There was a field of people, each carrying their crosses. One man kept asking the Father’s ok to cut the end off his cross to lighten it. He did this 3-4 times and kept moving faster than the others still carrying their burdens. Finally, coming to a wide chasm, he stood and watched as the others caught up and used their crosses to span the gap from one side to the other, and his would no longer span the gap.

You and your wife are still in my prayers brother.
Bill

Father, please aid Your child Steve and his wife today and show them Your mercy as they struggle with their crosses today. I know just how heavy these crosses can be, as I too have carried similar ones. Please let their house finally close so that this worry is gone, comfort them in the loss of their child by holding them closer to You, and please keep his wife safe and heal her quickly. In the name of Your son Jesus I pray. Amen.

Praying for you and your wife. People need their faith more than ever when times are tough. Pray for God’s help.

:blessyou:
