Help me with this one please! Parents to Jehov. Witness.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Peace be with you!

i am a raised catholic by my parents. but now they are in the Jehovah’s Witness denomination. Since then, they forbid me to go to our church because my sister told me that text your brother and tell him that this saturday is his last day to go to catholic church because it is a false religion. he wanted my sister to text me not to use his name. but i don’t believe on his accusations for i was baptized as catholic i will die with dignity and i will not abandoned my principles and what I believe to be right. for i have read some of the errors. oh, thats not some… i have read also in the internet about the two couples whose life has dedicated there life to JW and admitted that the WATCHTOWER is a false prophet!

what shall i do with my father? right now all i can do is to obey and i will stick to what I believed and not be blinded with what they teach.

Right now. Im studying the Bible to save my father for they have misleaded him too far from the so called TRUTH! :confused:

your advices is need. Thank you.

I am already 23 but still im still in there care. all i have to do is to obey.

they’ve been to JW just last year.

they are really blinded by the truth!

I think you mean ‘they are blind to the truth’

Is there some extraordinary circumstance that keeps you in there care at age 23? Can you elaborate and describe why you depend on their care now?

yes, blinded to the truth!

im still studyin and pursuing my second degree course. and filipinos have deeper family ties thats why.

your best defense right now is to demonstrate how a good Catholic lives, honors his parents, obeys the commandments, reads the bible and lives by the words of Jesus. They will not be converted by words but by loving actions, and lots of prayer and fasting. It is your job to show them a good Catholic son. It is the Holy Spirit who will take care of their souls. bless you

You are in an unfortunate situation. I know Jehovah’s Witnesses. They are very persuasive.

I can see only two choices for you. You can change to a JW, or remain Catholic.

There will be consequences to both actions.

If you choose to remain Catholic, it may cause a rift in your family.

If you choose to become a JW, you will be denied salvation.

If you choose to remain Catholic, and your family chooses to deny you, it is thier choice. Let them know how much you love them.

You can make frequent visits here for advice on particular issues that will occur.

I know how difficult your situation is. Don’t give up on yourself to make others happy.

I’m a fellow filipino now living in the US. Thanks to your post.

My wife was a former JH (I don’t even bother calling them Jeh… Witnesses). You can find a lot of tracts on this religion at Catholic Answers (www.catholic.com). Study the origin of this sect very carefully and share it to your father and mother.

This sect by the way is an offshoot of Arianism. It’s a modern day recycled Arian heresy (Arianism dates back to the early 4th century A.D.).

Study, too, the Arian Heresy and you will find out that they have a lot in common. Only that JH is worst than the first.
