Just give me a straight answer im not going to go with it anymore was my confession valid or not
We cannot tell you that. People here can speculate. We can tell you the principles that make a good confession.

You need spiritual guidance from your pastor. You have posted several posts that seem to point towards scrupulosity. You need help from your pastor on a consistent basis, not random strangers on the internet.

Ok thanks sorry i kinda lost my cool and let my anger get the best of me

Mrnuggles – you sound like you are really making a good effort to do the right thing! Do you have Catholic buddies your age that you guys can support each other? Wishing you the best!

Rely on your parents.

When you are old enough, get a job and move out and on your own.

I always recommend the military because they test and train, and if you decide to serve your time and get out, then do not return home.

Well, I’m not sure the military is best for absolutely everyone…
Acquire constructive skill sets needed by all adults.

Little by little.

Invent your own “boot camp” … appropriate for your own situation.

We used to have girl scouts and boy scouts and cubs and brownies. And if these are not available, their handbooks and manuals are available from the public library. Worth reading and studying.

My parents absolutely REFUSED to let me learn how to drive … so I waited until I left home … but as a teenager I took my fat tire bike to the airport and spent my bottle deposit money to take flying lessons! They didn’t know how to stop me. When the flight school said I needed to take a written exam, I took the exam right then and there and aced it. [The public library contained all the books I needed for the stuff I had to study.] Little by little. No complaining. Little by little. Ended up with a pilot’s license before I had a driver’s license … in fact even before I sat behind the wheel of a car.

Not that this justifies lying, but some school districts are really cracking down on what they consider truancy, “valid” excuses for missing school, etc. His parents’ decision to lie may have been largely a political one. I think they could have told the truth, emailing the school about a loss in the family and how you weren’t feeling well as a result.

I lost an animal recently and think it’s reasonable to take some time off. You’re not going to learn much at school if you spend the days grieving.

I don’t think that vacation would be more acceptable, though.

This lie is probably a venial sin. However, there was a saint who said that Jesus told Him for every lie you tell you receive 1,000 years in purgatory. And one lie still hurts Jesus very much. I would tell the school the truth, wanting the make your cat’s passing peaceful and not go school immediatly is nothing to be ashamed of, is a very good thing to do. Yes, you are not forgiven if you make no attempt to stop the lie now while you still can. Sorry about your cat, I lost a pet earlier this month, so I know how it feels. 😦
