Hi Totus, Have you had a chance to talk to your priest or you have decided to let it go and not say nothing. My enquiring mind wants to know. Lucy

I apologised to the priest, and didn’t say anything else

We all learn through experience and you will become more comfortable in your role as altar server the more times that you serve. Any time we start a new job we are nervous. We want to show what we can do. As we become accustomed to our position, we begin to relax into our roles. It is not that we become complacent. It is simply that we come to know what is expected.

I’ve been a server for about 5 years, serving every sunday for about 2, thats why I’m a little shaken up

That’s understandable. That still does not make what you did anything more than a mistake. It is not God who loads us with guilt. As easy as it is to say that you are not responsible for another’s reaction, as I wrote earlier, I do understand human sensitivity as well as culpability. God loves you and knows of your reverence.

TOTUS, Thank you for your reply. I know you feel better now and can release the guilt you felt in your heart.
We all make mistakes. Hugzz, Lucy
