I am asking for help for a man of God who is in a difficult situation. He has an insurmountable opportunity (God does not give us problems).
For two or three years I have been making 1or 2 rosaries a day and sending them to the chaplain at the Marine boot camp at Camp Pendleton. Today, I got a call from Fr John saying he had just got in 600 new trainees and needed all the help he could get. He wanted to know if I could set up some type of web site to take donations.
My talents do not run in that direction and I do not have the time even if they did. I did however think of the group at Catholic Answers and so I put it to you:
Can you send him help. He needs rosaries, medals, prayer cards, etc. For the medals and prayer cards, St Michael, St George, St Joan of Arc, and St Martin are excellent choices. For rosaries, preferably something sturdy and non-metallic. These are Marines, they will be going in harm’s way and part of their job is to break things. Several years ago I posted a set of instructions (rosary makers group) on making a field rosary which is what I send the good Father but anything along those lines is good.
These materials do not need to be new. They can be hand me downs and they will be given a good home, among men who will put themselves between us and war’s desolation.
