Know that your body actually holds the Temple of the Holy Spirit within you that is meant to be guarded away from any toxicity lurking around. Honestly, what works for me is to pray out loud a few Hail Mary’s (since the devil hates the name of Mary) and praying out loud what I’m thinking, experiencing in the moment, & asking God to help me refrain myself from doing that… when I do pray before deciding to commit that mortal sin again, prayer does seem to overpower that pleasure from happening. I tend to fall prey of this mortal sin when no one is around and I too have nothing to do- however, the more I invite Jesus & Mary into my daily struggles & all life experiences, the lesser this sin occurs because thinking of Them with me in everything, even those sinful moments to me is embarrassing that while They are with each of us presently, here I am sometimes still committing the same sin with Them with me… now it’s rare that I commit that mortal sin- it’s extremely embarrassing and irritating having to go to Confession to the same priest- which in a way also continues to prevent me from committing the sin often, because I don’t like having to confess the same sin over & over again. Each of us were created for more than objectifying ourselves- we are loved & cared for unconditionally by God & He deserves us to be chaste of our bodies, mind, & spirit respectfully.
