I can’t believe they offer such a club in high school. You can be sure i would be on the warpath if such a thing were started in my kids’ school. I’d be in the principal’s office, the superintendent’s office, and in front of the school board complaining until this club was gone. There should not be such a club available in a public school for kids as young as 14. I do not think there should be any club in a school which is based on who people like to have sex with. There should be no clubs in schools based on sex of any kind. What happened to kids just joining a sport, or FBLA, or the ski club, etc? Now they have clubs based on perversions? My tax dollars should not be going to a school that offers such an offensive club. The public schools are not allowed to have prayer groups in school because the secular humanists might be offended, but they sure don’t care when they offend religious people.I need some help and prayers.
My 14 year old daughter wants to participate in a “Gay Straight Alliance” club at her public high school (9th grade). Says she is “straight” but thinks it would be good to hang out with some friends there.
I’m pretty lucky, living in Scranton, PA, where the Church still has a pretty good influence on the community. I don;t think such a thing exists in our schools, and God is still allowed to be mentioned in our public schools. There are no abortion clinics in our area, thank God. But as less and less people go to Church and walk with God…it scares me that these wacky secular humanists things like gay clubs in school, outlawing God in school, and abortion clinics could become a reality.
