Is this what Catherine (Kate Middleton) the wife of Prince William was suffering from? I know she had to be hospitalized and they were forced to reveal her pregnancy early to explain why she was in hospital. It sounds horrible, but the result in her case was Prince George, third in line to the throne of England. Imagine if Catherine had decided for abortion?

I would also ask your parish priest if your wife can receive the sacrament of the sick, which our daughter received at least twice when she was having chemotherapy.

Today I’m starting a daily Rosary and I will keep your wife in my intentions.

Praying for your wife now:

+++ Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed by thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And, lead us not into temptation, but deliever us from evil. +++

+++ Hail Mary, full of grace, the LORD is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of hour death. +++

+++ Glory Be, to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. +++

I heard about this book on a Catholic radio station: recallabortion.com

It may be useful.

Yes, it was. I had HG too and I had several people come up to me after that was in the news going, “Oh wow, I guess that’s a real thing, then?”

It is really horrid. Unfortunately the side effects of medication, at least of Zofran which I was on, can be almost as horrendous as the nausea. Thankfully mine subdued around the halfway point and I was able to gradually wean off the Zofran.

I will pray for your wife, you, and all of your precious babies. I am so happy that I have my beautiful baby boy now, but I had moments when I was so angry at him for “making” me be so miserable in my pregnancy. Offer as much support to your wife as you can to get her through this time. Ask friends and family to help. This will pass with time.

There are several prescription anti-emetics, and people react differently to each. If she is on one, but still this uncomfortable, has she tried the others? Have you gone to a specialist?

Another thought, and I can’t believe I am recommending this, but what about medical marijuana?

Try to direct your wife’s attention to pursuing a better means of handling this problem. A friend of mine gets this, and has to be on IV fluids and antiemetics for her first trimester, but they usually do the trick. I feel like there is more that can be done for your wife.

Praying for you all!

Not to be cruel, I don’t doubt she is in agony, but does she truly understand the horrific procedure that abortion is? I’ve always been pro-life, but pictures of abortion still move me.

Thank you all for your prayers, recommendations, and support! My wife did NOT go to her appointment this weekend! Thank God! and Thank you again! Please continue to pray for her, as she is still suffering greatly.

God Bless…

That’s good news! 🙂 I will definitely be praying for her and for you and for your unborn child.

I am also praying for your wife. I had HG during my pregnancy until the seventh month and lost 30 pounds during the first seven months so I know very well what she is going through. Remind her you are there for her and support her and all this is temporary, encourage her that she can do it and make sure she is under constant medical supervision. At the end she will be rewarded with a beautiful baby. Help her as much as you can and make sure she gets the rest she needs and make sure she speaks with your priest and feels the support. I think the worst part about HG is that most people think it is just morning sickness and make you feel like you are just dramatizing and that everything is on your mind. That is something that may be affecting her so make sure you or no one is displaying what she feels. Tell her she is not alone in this.
