Hi,
I’m in a discussion in another forum with some individuals who have plenty of arguements against Catholocism. I was hoping to post some of the arguements here in order to gather advice for responses.
If anyone has time to read these articles about the papacy & give their (name removed by moderator)ut, it would be greatly appreciated:

There are so many errors in that first link, it would take a dissertation to refute. Certainly, though, you are at the right place if you so choose to mount such an attempt. Catholic Answers has a ton of information on the papacy. If you read through that, you will have answers to many of the link’s false claims. They also have a document on why it’s OK to call priests “father”. It is also chock full of falty exegesis and pure error. As an example of the latter:

“For example, the great Augustine, besides opposing Peter as the Church’s foundation rock, staunchly opposed the doctrine of Mary’s Immaculate Conception which budded in the 5th century.”

The only correct thing in that sentence is the spelling.
 
now that’s very good advice - we stared out with bible translating, & so far have touched on the pope, sacraments, mary, salvation, etc :whacky:
 
Another point of advice: Don’t let them bring up 50 different objections, they will do this in an attempt to fluster you.

Say “unless you concede my point on this issue, let’s not move on to another issue, OK?”

This site (catholic.com) obviously has plenty of great arguments for all of Catholicism.
