Hello all,

I’m going to need some help here. I started feeling the call to evangelize to my parents who are living an openly homosexual lifestyle. Of course, as an Orthodox Christian, we oppose such. My parents claim that they are baptist Christians but haven’t stepped into church in over 25 years. They are still coming to terms with the fact that I won’t support their lifestyle. What would your advice be to share with them the Gosple without coming off as judgemental or condemning. I truly want them to come back to the truth. What are your ideas?

Pray for them. I’m praying for you & for them.

You can give a constant urging to them to change their ways but not at the risk of damaging your relationship with them. When they become annoyed or angry, back off for a while. Then try again some time later to see if they are more receptive. This sort of thing will likely come up in conversations automatically. Other than that, you can pray for them.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
