In the book, “The Essential Catholic Survival Guide”, they use Matthew 18:21 to defend how St. Peter spoke for the apostles.
Matthew 18:21 -
Then Peter approaching asked him, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?”
How does this verse defend that St. Peter was the one who spoke for the apostles?

You can read it in context here:

Peter asked on all our behalf…we will be and continue to be persecuted and slandered.
We’re all disciples.
We are all called to forgive. Even if it hurts.

Forgive as often as God does…there is no limit on his mercy and forgiveness, hence there should be none on ours.

Peace and all good!

If you look at verse 1, you note how it is the entire group of the Apostles who are coming to Jesus to ask questions of Him. And it is Peter who is doing the asking for them as a group.
