Yesterday, I finally made a good confession after six months of needing to go. I was on top of the world at being back in a state of grace so I could again receive Communion and start the 33-day preparation for the Consecration to Mary.

I’ve struggled a lot with sins of impurity. As soon as I was done confessing, I was bombarded with temptations, because to be honest I haven’t had a lot of practice at resisting them lately, but I did. However, my body keeps remembering certain physical sensations, and I’m terrified I haven’t repelled those memories in time and that I shouldn’t have received communion this morning. I don’t even know if recall of physical sensation–not the thoughts that originally caused them, but the physical memory itself–is a mortal sin. I’m doing the best I can to repel these memories but it feels impossible to have 100% control of my thoughts all the time.

Honestly, I feel like I’m losing my mind here. Every time I confess, it seems only hours before I’m panicking that I’m again in a state of mortal sin. I do suffer from anxiety disorder and OCD, so that might be part of it, but thinking I might be walking around not in a state of grace without knowing is terrifying to me. Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated.

Never mind, I found an answer to my question in a different forum. Please disregard!
