I’m developing a night of teaching on the Church History as far as the protestant “reformation” and catholic counter-reformation go. While I want to touch on a couple of the main figures of protestantism, my take on the reformation is that it was the result of different social and political influences reaching back to the Black Death, the Avignon Papacy, renessiance humanism, simple greed, and the rise of nationalism.
Could you point me to some good, preferably short, preferably online, resources to the above topics, and also those on Luther, Calvin, Henry VIII?

I’m reading a couple of different books to prepare (I can’t find my copy of Pope Fiction, though  )

Thanks
