Are the Herodian kings part of the 10 or 7 kings?

Please fogive me, I cannot recall all of the complexities of those 10 and 7 combinations, thanks!

I have some resources at home, but I won’t get to them until later. I remember Scott Hahn talking about this in his tape series “The End” of which I have the notes.

If I have my Hahn right I believe it would be 7 Herodian kings from Christ to the fall of Jerusalem.

The 10 would be Caesars…

Well, OK, that’s quite fine as a MINOR layer of meaning, but the ultimate intended meaning? Give me a break. The fallen nature of man, driven by the force of the stain of original sin, constantly rears its ugly heads in the ages of salvation history, but, nevertheless, the beast is “nothing more” than a collection of pagan Roman leaders. Yeah, whatever. Maybe when the first nuclear bomb foreseen at Fatima is dropped, Preterists won’t be so infatuated with their preterism anymore. :rolleyes:
 
I would like to apologize for being sarcastic above, that was uncharitable, and I ask your forgiveness. It’s just that I get frustrated that people seem excited about preterism, when I feel there is far greater depth and meaning than that interpretation by itself can give.

As I said above, in his tape series “The End.”

You don’t necessarily have to buy the whole tape series, because the Study guide, also available from St. Joseph’s Communications, is basically a word-for-word transcript of the talk.

This info might also be in Hahn’s book, “The Lambs Supper,” as well as possibly “Coming Soon,” a Bible study on the Book of Revelation by Michael Barber (Emmaus Road Books), who was a student of Scott Hahn’s.
