I’m Claire, I’m a single mum of a beautiful daughter who turned nine on Easter Saturday. We live with our dog in Coffs Harbour, which is pretty much halfway between Sydney and Brisbane. I come from the UK and was baptised in the Church of England but am going to join the RCIA course here in Australia later this year. I am looking for material to read on the traditions and values of the Catholic Church, and perhaps a comparison with the CofE. Could you suggest some reading please? Thanks so much! Hi Claire, welcome home 😉 . For information on morals, values, and ethics, I’d suggest going straight to the source: Pop into the Sacristy at your local church, or pay a visit to a Catholic bookstore near you and pick up a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church - any info you find will quote the catechism anyway, so this way you’ll have the full answer. There are lighter reading versions and even a children’s catechism for your daughter so you can share the experience.

I’m not sure to what extent it will answer your questions on the similarities between Anglican tradition and Catholics, but I have been told in the past that High Church Anglicans also have a catechism.

Hope that helps,
