My friend put up a video describing the differences in the Catholic and Protestant bibles I shared the video and got these comments please help The video She Makes on the difference of the Bible is massively oversimplification and full of errors with in it first of all for clarity the 1611 translation of the King James Bible actually did have the 73 books of the Catholic Bible she saying it’s published in 1611 and discrediting it on that basis the first King James Bible was no different to the Catholic Bible the books that she list are called the apocrypha and they would have been included in that translation there are older bibles King James Bible in any case the 1611 is not the first Protestant Bible as she claims even though there are a Protestant Bible thay did continue to publish them books she says the first Catholic Bible the Year 300 and so which is completely inaccurate there were a number of different list drawn up in the Bible ranging from the 170s to late 300s early 400s the issue is when it comes to formulating the books in the Bible was not the Old Testament but the New Testament

And it related not to the apocrypha books or what we recognise as the New Testament which of those books are inspired of God which resulted in a list of 27 books which we now have the apocrypha was always treated separately from the old and the New Testament the apocrypha consists Jewish traditions historical writings it was never recognised as scripture.
As we were it was never recognised and scripture by the Jews it predates the time of Christ and we do not see Christ reference these books so that should give polls furthermore when you read the books and you see a number of things that contradicts the rest of scripture both in message and in spirit you realise that there is problematic messages that are within so you have witchcraft in some of the books sorcery suicide things that are spoken of as there is nothing wrong with them although it clearly contradicts scripture

Anyway that aside a bit of history seems to be in order as well she says the first Catholic Bible was in the 300 reality is the Catholic Church exist as such until the 10 hundred around 1056 you have something called the great schism in which those church institution the West and the church institution in the east divided and splitThere had already been a smaller but significant split with churches elsewhere in East Africa so all of that is likewise inaccurate She makes references to Martin Luther as Martin Luther was the one who decided what goes in and what goes out of the Bible

No need to reinvent the wheel here - I would just go to Protestant errors dot com as all of the arguments from St. Francis DeSales are listed there by category.

Stop arguing about religion.

Salvation isn’t about who can make the best arguments to justify their religion.

It’s about our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Those who want to argue about which religion is better, avoid them.

Which church denomination is correct is important.

For example interpreting correctly teachings such as if Jesus literally meant to eat His Flesh and drink His Blood.

It may be important for you, but arguing with people of other religions isn’t going to convert them to your religion, regardless.

People will dig their heels in and defend their religion, because they have more of an ego-identity attachment to the religion rather a genuine faith in Jesus Christ.

I have experience in this and erred when I was a new revert back in the 1970’s, and debated with coworkers who attacked the Catholic faith…

Those guys are still in their religions and so am I. However, I now see them as brothers rather than adversaries toward my faith.

What about Apostle Paul’s example in the book of Acts with the other jews?

Just dialogue for Some might bring some to think.

You’re not Saint Paul and the book of Acts is in the early days of Christianity where life and death for being Christian was the reality. Paul himself was a Jewish scholar who persecuted the Church before Christ appeared to him and converted him.

We’re 2000 years from that time and there has been a history of hatred between the Catholic Church and Protestant’s, which is all because of men’s being stubborn of heart.

Follow the example of Pope Francis. You don’t see him arguing with Protestants and he’s head of the Catholic Church.

Lastly, as the Imitation of Christ states, “many times I’ve walked away feeling less of a man, because of long talk.”

Debate over religion will harm your spiritual life more than edify it.

I’m not saying I’m Apostle Paul. But we do see apologist such as Tim Staples and others that have debated Protestants.

Catholic answers the ministry deals with apologetics correct me if I’m wrong. Defending Your Faith. If you feel like someone’s not listening to you during a discussion regards to Protestant and Catholicism and you feel you’re casting your pearls then maybe you shouldn’t further speak.
