In the words of the great vulcan, ‘That’s highly unlikely’.

It sounds like science fiction to me. Great plot for a movie perhaps, but not believable.

Sounds like pride taking God out of divine revelation…

It doesn’t sound anti catholic to know one could gain knowledge in a fashion like this in a sense… but it would be a result of God and spiritual gift rather than self induced grandeur.

You should listen to some of Dr. Douglas James Cottrell. He has tons of sessions involving the Akashic records, some of it is pretty amazing, most of it can be easily verified, but not sure anyone has done this.

The hidden records were first found or made-up by Madam Blavatsky, a spirit medium denounced as a fraudulent charlatan. She had earlier created the Theosophical Society with the aim of the “study and elucidation of Occultism” including those supposed records.

She didn’t invent theosophy though, which the Catholic Encyclopedia says is a form of pantheism which “denies a personal God and personal immortality”. - newadvent.org/cathen/14626a.htm

Catholic theology tells us that angels have vastly superior intellects to ours, with wellsprings of infused knowledge; and as immortal beings, the same ones have been around since before the dawn of human history. They have power to communicate directly to our minds via locutions, and can give us certain kinds of experiences. These powers were not stripped from the fallen angels, who could easily supply many facts or half-truths in order to deceive an Occultist or a dabbler.

My thoughts regarding Man’s ability to access “it” himself - If this were a “thing” then it would have come up far earlier than the 19th century.

Maybe it did, I don’t know, I’m just going off the short wiki article you posted.

Late 1800’s produced a plethora of mystic concepts, none have really survived except as curiosities. If you look into it in terms of where did they come up with THAT! I doubt its anti-catholic…

Yes, the forbidden knowledge the fallen angels were said to teach mankind, some of them are pretty interesting!

What about relativity? Does it disprove prophecy? If things can happen in a different sequence depending on the viewer, how can we know whether someone can see further into the future?
