I’m curious, does anyone know, or even have a rough estimate of the number of Hispanic Catholics that belong or worship at one of the many Eastern Catholic Parishes in the US? Thanks yo!

I don’t have any idea but I can tell you we have a totally awesome Hispanic priest Fr. Anthony Hernandez who serves at St. Basil the Great Byzantine Catholic Church Los Gatos Find him on Facebook at Fr-Anthony Hernandez and the parish Facebook under their name.
De nada. 🙂

Don’t know the numbers, but it’s sufficiently many that the Ruthenian Church has approved Spanish translations of the DL…

At my old EC parish we had an average Sunday attendance of about 180-250, with a total register of what I am guessing three times that number. I am not sure what it would be today.

Of that, I think we had about 8 or 9 Hispanic members (some married to non-Hispanic spouses) including children, but I can only think of three names right now. All were Anglophones.

Yesterday I was cleaning in our parish bookstore and moving around CDs, getting those related to Great Lent into a more prominent spot. I noted again that we have two Spanish language CDs. I’m not sure if both are of Divine Liturgy, or maybe one is some collection from other services. I’ll have to look and see if they’re Ruthenian.

The church I was in today was 80 % Hispanic. (Mexican) We are in Southern California.
