are there sources, other than the Bible, that claim Jesus was a true person?

I know of one, Joseph(I cant remember his last name…) but was wondering if anyone else has some more. thanks!

This is a Protestant site, it doesn’t seem to be anti-Catholic and it actually gives a positive view of Catholicism, which is much appreciated these days. It also gives good evidence with sources from non-Christian sources i.e. Josephus, Pliny the Younger, Babylonian Talmud, Lucian of Samosata. We know Jesus was an historical person, that He claimed to be God and proved by His life, death and resurrection and that the Bible has more evidence of its historicity than any other ancient manuscript.

There are quite a few books on writings of the Early Church Fathers - many refer extensively to Jesus Christ and who He was.

I find these writings to be very illuminating, as this was the ONLY Church at the time, you can see what was being written down and what people believed. A lot of it was written in 100 - 300 AD, which the earlier writings were not that far away from when the NT itself was written! So I think those writings have been preserved by God for a reason 🙂

This link below is correct. The other link I posted earlier was the wrong one, sorry.
