I keep hearing about how christians burned or destroyed works of greek philosphy. could anyone supply or help in this historical debagle though i have not been able to read any credible source?

I know that the Serapeum of Alexandria which was destroyed by an angry mob in 391 likely had texts in it, but that’s all I can think of.

In all honesty, these things are usually exagerated. It was really more that the works of Greek Philosophy weren’t copied by hand anymore than any sort of active destruction.
