Is their truthful History of the Holy Mass in general. I know there is the Novous Ordo, Tridentine, and supposedly one before the Tridentine (the first Mass of the early church). But also the Eastern rite has many too. It would be nice to see what they all are in both rites and how things changed, what changed, etc…

An excellent resource for information on the early Mass and it’s development is “The Mass of the Early Christians” by Mike Aquilina, published by Our Sunday Visitor. It gives excerpts from many early sources, including the Didache, St. Ignatius of Antioch, St. Justin Martyr, and St Irenaeus of Lyons. It also has a list of references for further study. 👍
