I am interested in learning how the Catholic Church compiled the Bible we have today. Who was involved? When and how was it done? How did they decide what stayed and what was excluded? Etc. Some apologetic books I own have touched upon this, but surely there is a book that is strictly devoted to this.

I would really appreciate the learned recommendations of this forum. Thank you in advance.

I thought there would be some responces to this. Perhaps this would be a good idea for a new book. However, I cant’s imagine this important topic has not been covered.

we probably haven’t anwered because there are at least a dozen recent threads on this topic, and a good tract on CA home page that answers your questions. don’t overlook the obvious
