Fair enough. So exactly how would contraception help in these rare cases?

If you have ever been married ? (I was, at 21 years old) and my wife was and still is the only woman I have slept with after 52 years.

My point is it is not possible at the age of 21 with hormones “raging” to sleep next to your beautiful wife and not have sex. So you are telling us to abstain ? ( If one of us caught AIDS by innocent means ?)
I quote a rare case, but this is only for example purpose’s, there must be hundreds, if not thousands of couples who are trying to be good Catholics, and like us, who had 4 children in 5 years two of them 11 months apart…My wife’s back would not take it any more. The doctor told her she would end up in a wheelchair if she had any more children.
I tried to be thoughtfull, but I was 25 years old… !!!
So I had a vacectomy, I know …I have confessed this years ago.But I am getting off the point…sorry

You have to be married to understand the natural biological yearnings of a young husband.( And wife ) I know this is a hard subject.
I really don’t think God would want us to pass on AIDS to our partners and children, the "Imaginary couple " can’t and wouldn’t want to be be divorced. So…I have no answers.
Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it is.

Abstain, and live and grow in God’s grace, or fall into the trap of contraception and the mortal sin that accompanies it, thus killing the life of grace and endangering my wife’s immortal soul.

There isn’t even a moment’s hesitation about which course I’d choose.
