Worst movie “Forrest Gump”?? Toni, you’re killin’ me here… :crying: I love that movie!

Director: Steven Spielberg
Movie: Gone with the Wind
Score: mm, Gone with the WInd again I guess, or Sound of Music…yeah, the Sound of Music
TV Show: well, I don’t watch a whole lot of TV, but I guess maybe Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. Don’t laugh, I thought it was a cute show. I looked forward to watching it with my family on Saturday nights growing up. 🙂
Worst Movie: Solaris - the only movie I have ever walked out of the theater at (it was either that or fall asleep)

Sorry but I found no humor in it. Maybe I am a little to tough on movies that make fun of the vietnam war. During the scene the whole cinema was laughing meanwhile I could only picture my cousin tripping over a bomb and many people getting killed. (to many things to close to home.) Yep I felt like I was probably one of two people in America who said the King is naked he has on no clothes.
But the restaraunt in Chicago was a riot. My husband and I could answer all the questions despite walking out during the movie.

Director: Robert Wise
Movie(s): The Sound of Music, Singin’ In The Rain, You’ve Got Mail
Score: Braveheart
TV Show: Quantum Leap (I know it might not be a critically-acclaimed series, but I love that show :clapping: )
Worst Movie: Meet The Parents (I hate movies where someone is just tortured throughout the entire film-I find movies like that frustrating to watch).

Scout :tiphat:

Um…when did the war humor come in? None of the Vietnam stuff was funny…I remember crying at the scene where he’s holding Bubba by the river and covered in blood and his friend asks him, “why did this happen?” it’s so moving…my dad was wounded in Vietnam…I would never watch a movie that made fun of war.

I don’t know what you mean by the restaurant in Chicago…Chicago wasn’t in that movie, that I recall, I’ve seen it lots of times. Are you sure you mean Forrest Gump or is it another movie? I don’t know what the King is naked means either…

When everyone was yelling run Forest run of course I won’t forget that because Forest was running away from a bomb or something and it was kind of made into a joke. That is when the audience laughed. Maybe I would have to watch the movie again. The restaurant was not in the movie but is in Chicago and it is called Bubba Gumps its on Navy pier. That is where they play the question and answer game. Great restaraunt.👍
Sorry johnpaullover don’t want to highjack your cool thread. I knew I was gonna get beat up over picking that for the worst movie. But it was the only movie I could think of that I did not like.

Director: Alfred Hitchcock
Movie: The Lord of the Rings (whole trilogy and has to be the extended versions)
Score: John William’s score for Star Wars, though Fiddler on the Roof is a close second.
Worst Movie: Fists of the Northstar I have seen some bad b-movies, but this one takes the prize.
TV Show: Fawlty Towers (John Cleese)

I love Forest Gump and the Fred McMurray/Lucille Ball version of Yours, Mine and Ours. I wouldn’t desecrate the memory by watching the remake.

Director: Stephen Spielberg (especially for Shindler’s List)
Movie: Les Miserables or My Cousin Vinnie
Score: Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Sound of Music
Worst Movie: Something about Mary
TV Show: LOST (except for the past few episodes) or Little House on the Prairie

Director: Martin Scorsese and Anthony Minghella

Favorite Film: Amadeus and The English Patient

Worst Film: Too many to mention but Nothing But Trouble comes to mind

Favorite Score: The English Patient

Favorite TV Show: I don’t watch TV except for Discovery and History Channel. I’ll say the miniseries Jesus because it aired on TV

Ohhhh, the people in the audience were making fun of the war. Well, that’s just ridiculous. I would have left too. You should watch the movie on your own sometime then, if you get a chance. It really is great. 🙂 I always get all sniffly at the end.

Anyway, yeah, sorry about the thread hijack. :o Back to your regularly scheduled programming!!

Is it super scary though? Like Exorcist sort of scary? My husband said no way could I see that (I get freaked out over scary movies) He’s never let me watch Silence of the Lambs because he said I’d never recover. So scale of 1-10… how scary is Emily Rose?

8-9, but I like that

I have never understood this business about The Exorcist and people leaving the theatre and what not. I was about 12 the first time I saw it and I couldn’t stop laughing. It was so bad, I can’t understand people being scared by it. I seriously thought it was a comedy.

It definitely ranks among my top ten most over-hyped movies of all time, along with Indepedence Day and Ali. And I actually like Will Smith as an actor. Just bad movies.
