Holy Communion fast in danger of death

I read that for Latin rite Catholics, the Communion fast is abrogated in danger of death. Is it the same for Eastern Catholics? Thanks!

Is it the same to save the Host from insult? (If there’s no priest around)

In danger of death, all laws are suspended.
