Through the early 70’s, Pennsylvania had what they called the Blue Laws. Stores closed on Sundays, I remember our priest lamenting it, but not really pushing working as being forbidden. If you can get the right job, you have it made, but even working for a Catholic School, I still have to teach classes on some Holy Days…
