Kyrie eleison! Holy Resurrection Cathedral - Kodiak, Alaska horribly vandalized last night. The Cathedral, the Holy Place, including the tabernacle and the Reserved Mysteries, were vandalized.

“It was immediate grieving,” [Fr Innocent] Dresdow said. “It felt as though your soul had been assaulted, to see those sacred items scattered around and damaged.”

Prayers for Archpriest Innocent and for Holy Resurrection Cathedral - Kodiak.
The historic Holy Resurrection Orthodox Cathedral in Kodiak was vandalized this week. Holy items and St. Herman relics were damaged, destroyed and desecrated. Arkimedes Garcia, 21, was arrested at the scene.

While the relics of Saint Herman of Alaska, which are enshrined in the cathedral, were not disturbed, Father Innocent noted that seeing the reliquary brought him “to tears.” Saint Herman’s skufia and wrought iron cross and chains were in disarray and displayed no visible damage; his monastic cross clearly had been vandalized.
Thanks be to God, Saint Herman’s relics were not disturbed! Holy Father Herman, pray to God for us!

May the Lord God have mercy upon us all, through the prayers of Saint Herman of Alaska,
and of all the Saints.

I live in Alaska and this is the first I’ve heard of it. This is tragic.

Holy servant of God, St. Herman of Alaska, pray for us!

This is very saddening. 😦
