Holy Water

Is using holy water while having a mortal sin, a mortal sin? I have looked around but to no avail have I found an answer or anyone saying anything about it. So I assume it isn’t? Sorry if the question seems trivial.

It is not a sin to avail yourself of sacramentals (like holy water, the rosary, or ashes on Ash Wednesday) even when you are not in the state of grace.

As I recall one needs God’s gift of grace to repent a mortal sin; one cannot do it by simple human will. Use of Holy Water and other sacramentals will help one obtain that grace I think.
