Holy Week and Concentrating while Afraid

My Dad had a catheter put in a heart valve about 6 months ago. The heart valve was blocked about 90%. Which not even the doctors thought it was actually that bad till they checked…Dad was doing fine, he got out of Cardiac Rehab…
And now, today, I find out he has to probably have another procedure because his catheter may now be blocked! The man eats healthy and exercises regularly. He even takes his meds! He is not even 60!
Which means this is most likely genetic…
Anyways, his procedure is sometime during Holy Week. And I will be with him at the hospital.
How am I going to be able to focus on Our Lord and my 1st Communion? I am afraid of losing my Papa.

Dear Kathleen, yes one’s father is so very precious, and it must hurt you very much to see him struggling. Thank God He is receiving the care he needs for recovery!

I’ll keep him and you, in my prayers. It’s a really hard time for you, your Papa, your family.

May God bless you in this sacred time in your spiritual journey.

Dear Jesus, we thank you that it has been discovered that Kathleen’s cherished Papa is so ill, before worse happened,
so that he can have urgent surgery to help him to recover.
Please help him, and his family, to cope with the shock of the seriousness of his condition.

Jesus please be with with the surgeon as he operates and makes decisions during surgery, so that the outcome will be very successful.

Please bless Kathleen’s father with many healthy years ahead after his recovery.
Please guide Kathleen as to the best food choices that will prevent blockages so that she also can live a long and happy life. Sometimes we do eat things we are promised to be healthy yet perhaps not always as healthy as we think, or only in small quantities.

Jesus please always protect and bless the members of this family, in their temporal and their spiritual lives.

Lord, I pray that the procedure to be done on Kathleen’s father would go perfectly, and his full recovery would follow thereafter. I pray peace of mind and courage for Kathleen, Amen.
 
In Jesus’ Name, please dear Lord help Kathleen’s dad, and help Kathleen to be able to concentrate on the culmination of her RCIA and joyfully enter the Church. Amen.
Dear Blessed Mother and St. Joseph, you know how important a father is. Please pray for this intention. Thank you. Amen.
