I wish this was still done in Puerto Rico. They have totally adopted the Santa Clause tradition, so now many kids get gifts on the De. 25th and Jan 6.we focus on Christ Birth and the gift that God the Father gave us on that holy night we spend Dec. 24 in midnight mass and on the 25 we spend it with our families my Children get new outfits and on Jan. 6 they will get a gift on the day of the three wise man.
Yeah, it irks me that St.Nicholas has been reduced to a chubby red-suited elf, and this year especially I was really saddened to see what St. Patricks day has become. That is how we celebrate Christmas and this is how my culture has celebrated always we tend to focus our attention on Christ all this Holidays are Catholic Holidays like Christmas, Easter, St. Patrick, etc…the different is that non-believers had taking the same holidays and had made it their own, like St Patrick who was a catholic Bishop who perform miracles in Ireland, the same with St. Nick another Catholic priest.
