I am thinking about starting a prayer group in my home and was wondering if any of ya all have done this in the past, are hosting a group or are participating in a group now.
How did you get started?
In the past I started many prayer groups and they started helping others in other towns to get going but there are many perils such as some leaving the church for their reasons.
At present I am in the process of praying for a Carmelite group and have done the first thing and that is to
speak to our priest.
Here are some points that have to be.
1 No prayer group will florish or show the fruits if it is not God’s will to begine.
2 You have to have your soul set on God being glorified
3 You must have the priests blessiing first.
4 there must be biblical principles as the building block
5 You must stay in the boundries of the Holy Spirit guiding you
6 Have a look at 1 Corinth 12 and 13.
Look at Galatians 5 22, James 3. 5: 25. God will guide you if it is His will.
Don’t think that all will be plain sailing satin hates these gatherings.
See your priest first as I have. My priest told me to collate information which I have now done, I am putting it all together to present to him.
Always keep in touch with the priest and invite him to join that is the right thing to do (inclusion)
