Not sure how you’re getting this. I, myself, actually do public speaking in the course of my work. So, I kinda think I have a feel for what makes “good” or “bad” speaking.

That’s not where we disagree. It seems we’re disagreeing on the extent to which a priest is primarily a “public speaker.” Is it important? Yes. Are all equally talented? No. Is there something else that defines a priest? Yes – the sacraments.
