Stunning… looks like these ‘activists’ need a lesson on what real terrorism looks like, since they’ve apparently missed the whole planes-into-buildings thing that happened just 5 years ago.

As much as I oppose homosexual militancy and this type of revenge, I wonder if these people were maybe going overboard by having a bunch of signs in their front yard? I think that’s kind of weird. How many people put a bunch of anti-homosexual signs in their front yard? I never see any signs in people’s yards, except an occasion political candidate sign.

Consider the source. Focus on the Family is not exactly an objective source of information about gay men. Perhaps, just perhaps, they have an agenda. And a family that posts signs on their front lawn against gay men and lesbians also might have an agenda. Coverage of this “news” story also might be part of an agenda. This of course does not excuse the vandalism. However, if the Focus on the Family or this besieged family are receiving or soliciting funds as a result of this vandalism, then I guess God moves in mysterious ways to increase His followers’ bank accounts.

And the point being?

That is so sad. I hope that this homosexual activist gets his just penalty for doing this.

Isn’t this sign in defense of what is going on in Colorado? The website is sort of funny, No Moo Lies, and to the point.
Woof 🙂

Last month, in San Diego, 3 men attacked 6 other men at our s gay pride festival. All their victims were alone when hunted down and beaten. On victim literally had his face bashed in by a baseball bat.

This is a hate crime, folks.

When I guess you would call them conservative Christians who support Focus on the Family denounce men who literally break a gay man’s face with a baseball bat, decent people might take this special interest group more seriously.

What exactly do you mean by that? The people who did this were gang bangers. They need to be punished for their sins…and I’m sure they will be.

The attackers are in the criminal justice system. I meant that perhaps gay men who have their facial bones broken by gang bangers should get some of the concern that conservative Christians give to other conservative Christians. Folks who unfortunately suffered seeing their anti-gay and anti-lesbian signs burned. Sign burning is a hate crime. I agree.

But I also think a man who has his facial bones broken by anti-gay gang bangers might also get some sympathy. I’m sorry so many self defined Christian folks just do not get this.

It sounded as if you were suggesting that Conservative Christians were the ones responsible. Just trying to clarify.

Are you saying that Focus on the Family should have a full time employee monitoring all news sources so they can make sure they denounce every single incident of violence againt a homosexual that occurs? OR
Are you saying that becuase 6 homosexuals were beaten its ok to vandalize the yard of a family who oppose the homosexual political agenda? OR both

Please do not put words in my mouth. I did not suggest either course of action. But come to think of it, Focus on the Family should denounce violence against gay men and lesbians. Just common decency. Of course you are entitled to yr own opinion.

As for arson at the Christian household, I never suggested violence was a solution to attacks on gay men.

The US is (still) a free country. You can send money to Focus on the Family to support the beseiged family. I understand FOTF takes MasterCard, VISA, AMEX, Discover, as well as cash. family.org/friends/givenow.cfm?rf=giving

…Focus on the Family should denounce violence against gay men and lesbians.
Focus on the Family:
Christians agree that all persons should be valued equally because all are made in God’s image.

…we would be wise to remember that all crime is hate crime.
Is that not good enough, or do they need to quote you specifically and then express agreement?

I am not really big on Focus, but I do know that all over this city there are people that have signs in the yard that show the dog and the caption MOO. IT IS a political sign.

But I also think a man who has his facial bones broken by anti-gay gang bangers might also get some sympathy.
Sympathy is a feeling, and I will reserve my emotional energy for people who do not wish to destroy my entire culture. I acknowledge that this is a crime, and am pleased that the perpetrators were punished.

Sorry if I seem cold. I am. I feel about this as I feel about the correctional system breaking up a fight in prison. An activist for an evil cause is harmed by a criminal, who is then punished by the civil authority. Why should anyone have any particular sympathy with any of the parties? Neo-Nazis have a right not to have their faces broken, too, if they haven’t actually done anything personally to deserve it. I doubt you’d be saying we should sympathize with them.

In addition, the “gay activist” arsonist seems to be not there.

"A Colorado Springs woman by the name of Christina Sewall reported that at 2:15 in the morning hours of September 27, someone came into her yard and started a bonfire. Since Ms. Sewall has been placing signs in her yard advocating for Focus on the Family’s gay rights-challenging “No Moo Lies” website (signs that she previously claimed to FOF have been stolen and vandalized), she and FOF just assume that this bonfire is related to the signage, and that the perp is both gay and an activist. CitizenLink and Ms. Sewall even say of the situation:
Code:
...this incident is eye-opening evidence of the appalling lack of "tolerance" among those who advocate the gay agenda.

"How is this being tolerant. They set our lawn on fire?" Sewall asked. "We're not preaching hate, but they are the ones doing the violence."
But they have no proof that any sort of “gay activist” was involved whatsoever! A “gay activist” is a very specific thing, just as is a “anti-gay” or “pro-famiy” activist.
