I saw this on BBC too and thought it was so strange and debated about posting it here for commentary.:bigyikes:
 
I guess its ok to mutilate the body God gave you?..but it’s ok to kill and maim in the name of God?..none of this makes sense. As for transvestitism…it’s in the mind. Treat the mind not the body when it’s only in the mind. -Mfaustina1
 
Oh how bizarre is this??? Islam is one religion I can’t figure out.:hmmm:

But then again it is apparent that Islam’s god Allah doesn’t place the same value on the human person as the God of Judaism and Christianity. As is evident by this and the innumerable suicide bombings in Israel and now in Iraq, not to mention the 9/11 attack.

Is there an example in the Koran of this idea that some women are trapped in mens bodies? Maybe they can teach the children in school that if your a women inside you can get a sex change and it’s fine with God.

Keep in mind they are going to have some of the same problems that Protestants have by not having a central authoritiy. One group can have a differnt idea than the other. Plus even with a some type of authoritive figures, people can pick and choose what they want.

Although I must say it seems very odd.
 
Is there really such a thing as a sex change operation or is it cosmetic surgery ending up with an altered male assuming there was a functional male to begin with ?
What would Mohammed do ?
