Homosexuals marrying opposite sex

hna444:Since love is more than mere physical attracttion there are quite a few homosexuals that are married with children to females.IMO homosexual are not born but very early in their lives they identify with the same sex.There are various ways this can happen.It is a very hard thing to overcome and I suppose some people can never overcome this addition.If a homosexual cannot overcome this gradually being married to a female I would guess he either phantizes he’s with a male(heaven forbid)or he thinks how much he loves her,can enjoy the physical pleasure.I meant to say addiction. and so move on.There are cases of homosexuals (more than are discussed)who do lose their addiction to the same sex and do get married to females and live comfortable lives.I only talk about homosexuals here but lesbians are not entirely different.

Please redefine your use of the term homosexual.

Chaste same sex attracted people are not homosexuals.

A homosexual is a SSA person who rejects chastity and instead embraces the homosexual lifestyle by committing man on man sexual acts or female on female sexual acts.

Where do you come by your definition? It is not the one generally used. This is not the language the Catechism uses, and every dictionary I have on hand (I checked) disagrees with your rigid usage. They all define a homosexual person by the attraction, not acting on that attraction, which is also how the Catechism speaks.

“2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.”

I am not challenging to nit-pick. I am challenging because in conversation about the morality of homosexuality it is very important to distinguish between the attraction and the acts. Your belief that the word homosexual already makes that distinction may cause you to make statements that would be heard by most as terribly uncharitable- and possibly false.
